Hours: 68 (48 classroom/skills lab hours & 20 clinical hours)
This nursing journeyman course prepares the student to administer medication to clients or patients and prepares the student for the State Certification Examination to become a Registered Medication Aide. The clinical portion of the program is an opportunity for students to competently and safely transfer classroom theory into practice with instructor guidance and supervision.
Program Entrance Requirements:
- High School Diploma, college transcripts, GED, or Eligibility Exam
- No felonies or Barrier Crimes that will prevent Board of Nursing approval to test
- Tuberculosis /PPD test
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed statement declining vaccination
- Prior completion of a Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Aide course in Virginia

Installment payment plan available as follows:
